On Monday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) unveiled the full TATA Indian Premier League 2024 (IPL). On February 22, the BCCI issued the initial 21-match schedule (21 matches); now, this schedule reflects polling dates and venues of Lok Sabha elections across India. In phase 2, Delhi Capitals have decided to play all remaining five home matches at Arun Jaitley Stadium after opting to hold their initial two home fixtures at Visakhapatnam instead.
IPL full schedule 2024
Punjab Kings will complete their home campaign at Dharamsala after starting at PCA New International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur. With breathtaking mountainous views as its backdrop, Dharamsala will serve as the home ground to Punjab Kings from May 5-9 against Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru, respectively. Rajasthan Royals, too, have chosen Guwahati as an additional venue and will play their last two home matches there before moving back into their initial venue, Mullanpur.
Tata IPL 2024 schedule
They will start their season against Punjab Kings on May 15 before facing Kolkata Knight Riders for the conclusion of the league stage of IPL 2017 on May 19, as part of this year’s league phase. Following a short break on May 20, Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium will play host to an electrifying Qualifier 1 clash featuring top teams on Tuesday 21st, followed by an exciting Eliminator match on Wednesday 22nd of the tournament.
IPL 2024 fixtures
As was the case during the season opener, Qualifier 2 and grand final will both take place at Chennai Super Kings’ home ground of Chennai – on Friday 24th and 26th, respectively. Qualifier 2, featuring losers from Qualifier 1 facing winners of Eliminator, will commence Friday with the grand final set for Sunday 26th, as planned.
