In the 37th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) captain, KL Rahul was seen on Sunday. KL Rahul smashed the bowlers of Mumbai Indians with an unbeaten 103 off 62 balls. In his brilliant innings, Rahul hit 12 fours and 4 sixes.
This is the second century of KL Rahul in the current season. Earlier, Rahul had scored his first century of this season against Mumbai Indians. Even then he had scored an unbeaten 103 runs. This Means Rahul scored both his centuries against the same team and his score was the same in both. Also, he returned unbeaten in both the century innings.
Rahul overtakes Samson
Overall, this was the fourth century of KL Rahul’s IPL career. With this, he has reached the second number in the list of Indian players who have scored the most centuries in the IPL. Sanju Samson has slipped to number three in this list with three centuries. Virat Kohli is the Indian player to score the most centuries with 5 centuries.
This was KL Rahul’s third IPL century against Mumbai Indians. No other batsman in IPL has scored more than one century against Mumbai Indians so far. After this second century in IPL 2022, KL Rahul has also reached number two in the Orange Cap race. In IPL 2022, Rahul has 368 runs in 8 innings at an average of 61.33.
