AB de Villiers, the former captain of South Africa and one of the legendary batsmen, is celebrating his 37th birthday today i.e on 17 February. Due to his speed, agility, and fiery innings, he is called even the Superman of South Africa.
Born on 17 February 1984 in Pretoria, South Africa, AB played international cricket for South Africa, but he was seen representing teams in many other T20 leagues around the world. AB, who is said to be a good friend of Virat Kohli, also plays with his team RCB in the IPL. He left international cricket in the year 2018.

AB has scored two double centuries in his career, one against Pakistan and the other against India. Earlier in April 2008, he had scored an unbeaten 217 against India in Ahmedabad.

AB holds the record for the fastest century in ODIs. He scored a century in just 31 balls and scored 149 runs in that match. He also holds the record for the half-century in 16 balls in ODIs. He has also won the ICC ODI Player of the Year Award thrice.

AB played 114 Tests, 228 ODIs, and 78 T20 Internationals in his career. In Tests, he scored a total of 8765 runs with the help of 22 centuries and 46 half-centuries. His best score is 278 not out which he scored against Pakistan in 2010. In ODIs, he scored a total of 9577 runs including 25 centuries and 53 half-centuries. At the same time, a total of 1672 runs were scored in T20 International with the help of 10 half-centuries. He also took 9 wickets in his international career.
