IPL 2022: DRS came in handy for Rahane on the first two balls, but was caught out on the third ball.

In the 19th match of the Indian Premier League IPL 2022, Delhi Capitals faced Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR. Both the teams were face to face at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. In the match, Kolkata Knight Riders were given a huge target of 216 runs to win, But the whole team was bundled out for 171 runs.
Chasing a big target, Kolkata started in a very dramatic way. Ajinkya Rahane was declared out by the umpire on the first two balls of the first over of the innings bowled by Mustafizur Rahman. Twice the umpire gave the wrong out (Ajinkya Rahane)
On the first ball, umpire J Madangopal gave Rahane a caught behind, after which Rahane did not delay in taking the DRS. It was clearly visible in TV replays that the ball had reached the wicketkeeper after hitting the upper part of Rahane’s right pad.
In such a situation, the on-field umpire had to reverse his decision. On the next ball, Rahane was given out lbw by Madan Gopal, after which Rahane once again took a review. It was clearly visible in the replays that the ball hit Rahane’s bat and hit the pad.

Then on the third ball, the ball went into the hands of the wicketkeeper after being hit by Rahane’s bat, but no player appealed, due to which Rahane was saved from getting out.
However, Rahane could not show anything special despite avoiding getting out thrice. Rahane was caught by Shardul Thakur on the ball of Khaleel Ahmed after scoring just 8 runs.
