The TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, match no.6, is underway between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata. The Knights won the toss and elected to field first, and SRH scored 226/8 in their 20 overs. Coming out to chase, KKR were off to a flyer as they scored 25 runs off the first over.
However, after that, during the last ball of the powerplay, it led to a comedy of errors as Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Cameron Green were involved in a funny run out. As the latter was deemed to be run out by Eshan Malinga. Malinga went full, inviting the drive, and Angkrish Raghuvanshi obliged, punching it straight back down the ground.
Cameron Green walks back
It looked routine for a moment, but cricket rarely sticks to the script. Malinga, in his follow-through, fumbled the ball. It struck his boot, lost all pace, and trickled awkwardly beside him. Just as Raghuvanshi made his way to the boundary to walk back, he was stopped to confirm whose batter was actually out as the batters crossed while Malinga broke the stumps.
Your daily dose of cricket!
Cameron Green did not cross and, unfortunately, went back in the pavilion after scoring 2 off 2 deliveries. KKR are now under real pressure with 3 wickets down, and Raghuvanshi and Rinki Singh have a mammoth task ahead of them.

Cam Green under huge pressure
It has been an unlucky start for Cameron Green, as he looked in good form in the last game against the Mumbai Indians (MI), scoring 18 off 10 balls, but fell after playing a loose shot, and today he was run out. There will be huge pressure on Green now, as he has been the highest-paid player in the mini-auction. KKR bought him for INR 25.20 crore.
Cameron Green has not been bowling as well and has been playing as a specialist batter. With two low scores, he will surely look to score some runs in the next game, the pressure will rise against him.
SRH openers went beserk
SRH got out to a flying start, with Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma scoring 84/1 on the powerplay. Head scored 46 runs off 21 balls, while Blessing Muzarabani picked up wickets of Ishan Kishan and Abhishek Sharma in the same over, with Varun Chakravarthy collecting an incredible catch that appeared to be disputed.
From 110/1 to 118/4, the KKR bowlers pulled somewhat. After the quick wickets, Heinrich Klaasen and Nitish Kumar Reddy took control of the game, batting 52 off 35 balls and 34 off 29 balls, respectively, as the Orange Army reached 226/8 in their 20 overs. They will feel they fell 20 runs short of the start they received.
KKR are now 120/4 with Angkrish Raghuvanshi being run out after scoring 52 off 29 deliveries. The Knights still have much work to do, as Anukul Roy needs to stick with Rinku Singh and play a big innings.
