They had lost to Zimbabwe in an ODI match last week. Australia’s batting was a flop against the Kiwis as well. Chasing a low target of 233 runs, the Australian batting line-up was demolished by Matt Henry and Trent Boult.
Wicketkeeper-batsman Alex Carey and all-rounder Cameron Green stitched a crucial partnership to seal the win for Australia. The team management will hope that Australia does better in the third ODI. Captain Aaron Finch will also be looking to get some runs under his belt and lead from the front.
