Tendulkar will be seen again, know the schedule of Road Safety World Series

Former veteran batsman Sachin Tendulkar will lead the defending champion India Legends Team in the second season of the Road Safety World Series.

Former veteran batsman Sachin Tendulkar will lead the defending champion India Legends Team in the second season of the Road Safety World Series. The organizers made the announcement on Thursday. This tournament will be played from 10 September to 22 days at different venues. The first match of the tournament will be held in Kanpur while both the semi-final and final will be played in Raipur.

According to the release issued here, the two other venues where the matches will be played include Indore and Dehradun. This time the team of New Zealand Legends will also participate in the tournament. Apart from India and New Zealand, teams from Australia, Sri Lanka, West Indies, South Africa, Bangladesh and England will also participate in this competition, played with the main objective of bringing awareness to road safety across the country and the world. This series is supported by the Ministry of Transport and Information and Broadcasting and Ministry of Youth Welfare and Sports, Government of India.

Sports Minister Anurag Thakur said, “I am confident that the Road Safety World Series will play a vital role in social change and will serve as an ideal platform to change the attitude of people towards road and road safety.

Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari said, “The Road Safety World Series is a very good initiative to create awareness about road safety through cricket. We want every person of which country to be aware and follow all the rules and guidelines related to the road. For this we have to create awareness among the people and I am sure this series will play an important role in this.
