Afghan leg-spinner Khan has completed his 100 wickets in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He touched this figure by dismissing Venkatesh Iyer in the match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
Gujarat Titans (GT) and Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan have achieved a special achievement. Actually, Rashid has completed his 100 wickets in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Rashid achieved this position by getting Venkatesh Iyer caught by Abhinav Manohar in the match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Saturday.
23-year-old Rashid Khan is only the second foreign spinner to take 100 wickets in IPL. Before Rashid, only Sunil Narine of Kolkata Knight Riders was able to do such a feat. Rashid is the fourth foreign bowler overall and the 16th overall to take 100 wickets in the IPL. Along with this, Rashid Khan has reached joint number one in terms of taking 100 wickets as a spinner.

Sri Lankan legend Lasith Malinga is the fastest bowler to take 100 wickets in IPL. Malinga, who played for Mumbai Indians (IPL) throughout his IPL career, completed 100 wickets in just 70 innings at an average of 19.85. Malinga, popularly known as the Yorker King, finished his IPL career with 170 wickets in 122 matches.
Rashid became the man of the match
In the match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Rashid Khan took two wickets for 22 runs, due to which he got the Man of the Match award. Rashid made his IPL debut in the year 2017 at the age of 18. In the debut season itself, Rashid left his mark for Sunrisers Hyderabad by taking 17 wickets.
Brilliant innings from Hardik Pandya
Batting first after losing the toss, Gujarat Titans scored 156 runs for nine wickets. Apart from Hardik Pandya, David Miller scored 27 and wicket-keeper batsman Wriddhiman Saha played useful innings of 25 runs. Tim Southee took three wickets for 24 runs for KKR, while Andre Russell, who came to bowl in the last over, dismissed four players for five runs.
In reply, Kolkata’s team could only manage 148 for eight in 20 overs and had to be defeated by eight runs. Andre Russell contributed 48 runs for KKR and Rinku Singh contributed 35 runs. For Gujarat Titans from the blowing end, Mohammed Shami, Yash Dayal, and Rashid Khan took two wickets each.
